jobmate brings safety support, compliance and training to FORS Conference ’24jobmate brings safety support, compliance and training to FORS Conference ’24

jobmate, operational software providers to the transport, construction and service management industries, are presenting their latest native-cloud solutions at this year’s FORS Conference.

The 2024 FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) Conference will be hosted at the ICC in Birmingham on Tuesday 15 October. Over 4,700 transport companies are accredited by the scheme. It is seen as a major UK event for transport operators who aspire to and achieve best-practice fleet operations.

Bespoke systems that manage jobs and tasks

Based in Wolverhampton, jobmate design bespoke ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems which manage jobs and tasks, from customer enquiry to completion, while, says the company, ensuring complete operational compliance control across key business activities.

jobmate was established by Chris and Wendy Dalton, both highly experienced transport professionals who have held several senior roles in transport operations. Their leadership, at a leading road tanker manufacturer, says the founders, further lends to their wide industry expertise.

“We understand the importance of providing managers with easy-to-use systems which enable ongoing decision making, monitoring and control at each stage of the supply and delivery process,” says CEO Chris Dalton.

To this end, adds Chris, jobmate’s transport and logistics software provides fleet operators with a clear picture of all costs and activities: from stock and supplier management, subcontracting, quotations and planning, to routing, asset control, expense capture, HR, reporting and invoicing. The software comes in three distinct modules: jobmate Lite, Pro and Enterprise.

“jobmate was created by professionals with a deep understanding of SME and corporate business management,” says Chris. “Consequently, each of our software solutions is tailored to fit a broad range of specific operational and administrative requirements. In brief, jobmate is simple, powerful and affordable.”

Meeting fleet managers at the conference

“Our aim during the conference is to meet with fleet managers to discuss how our operational ERP software can help them improve their business performance in key areas, while also ensuring how their commitment to FORS can be effectively monitored and maintained.”

The company’s primary focus is on transport and logistics, field service (repair and maintenance) and construction, and the FORS conference and exhibition, adds Chris, is seen as the perfect platform for jobmate to introduce its diverse software solutions to representatives from each sector.

“Furthermore,” says Chris, “as a Sage global partner, jobmate’s secure native cloud software is easily integrated with existing software systems. Each of our modules provides a broad ERP functionality with embedded AI optimisation, enabling automated decision making, reduced costs and operational compliance control.”

Chris further explains that being native cloud, jobmate software keeps the operational system and the data in “the cloud”, making it highly secure and usable across all devices, including desktops, tablets and handsets.

Too many systems that do not talk to each other

According to jobmate, the rise of software systems in the last ten years has grown, particularly around planning, compliance and workshops. Operators, say the company, use a variety of software, each with a unique user experience on how a person engages with it, although perhaps to their disadvantage, many systems do not communicate with each other.

“The market is becoming confused with too many software options that are not seamless in their operation for users,” adds Chris Dalton. “Software is largely about adoption and buy-in from employees, a much-overlooked aspect when introducing software to a business.”

“jobmate is a best-in-class ERP, and a critical component required to digitise any business. To enhance our offering, we create strategic relationships with other best-in-class providers, for example Sage Intacct/200 for financials and Optimize for routing and planning, both of which are augmented by compatible AI.”

The jobmate team will be present on stand 49 and look forward to meeting friends old and new during the conference.
